General Robert E. Lee & The Army of Northern Virginia have moved forward to Frederick, Maryland while a short distance to the southwest Stonewall Jackson has surrounded a Federal Army at Harper's Ferry, Virginia. In between lies Crown Rose Plantation. A company of the 1st Virginia Infantry has been ordered to set a picket post at Crown Rose, help keep communications open between Lee and Jackson, protect civilians and their property and maintain a watch for enemy cavalry patrols.
